- Usage data — pages visited, features used, and learning progress. We use PostHog for anonymous analytics.
- Venue data — if you register a café, we collect your venue name, address, menu items, and staff information.
What we don't collect
- We do not sell your data to third parties. Ever.
- We do not track your location in the background.
- We do not share personal data with advertisers.
How we use your data
- To provide and improve the Cupán Focail service.
- To personalise your learning experience based on your Irish level.
- To send transactional emails (e.g. account verification, staff invites).
- To understand how the platform is used so we can make it better.
Data storage & security
Your data is stored securely using Supabase, which provides encryption at rest and in transit. We use row-level security (RLS) to ensure users can only access their own data.
Cookies
We use essential cookies for authentication and session management. Our analytics provider (PostHog) may use cookies for anonymous usage tracking. We do not use advertising cookies.
